Robert W. Barham, President

We would like to introduce you to the man behind the cockpit of this operation, the President of Barham Aviation, Inc., Robert Barham. He currently holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine Ratings, and an accumulation of over 13,000 flight hours. He has an Airframe and Powerplant Rating issued by the FAA in 1977, with Inspection Authorization issued in 1980. Bob has established a very good working relationship with the Federal Aviation Administration, and his future intentions are to apply to the Federal Aviation Administration for a Designated Mechanic Examiner Authorization as an additional attraction for Bridgeport.

Bob’s aviation maintenance experience over the past 22 years has included employment as an Inspection Advisor on a U.S. Air Force program, with Dyncorp Aerospace Engineering, the FAA Liason for NASA in Houston, Quality Assurance Manager for the Drug Interdiction Program for the Department of Justice, and Assistant Site Manager for the U.S. Custom’s Service, and currently holds a Secret Security Clearance. He owned and operated a full service Fixed Base Operations which included a multi engine FAA approved Part 135 Charter Service, aircraft maintenance and aircraft sales. He built his company up from a one man operation into a successful business that staffed 22 employees.

Since completion of his new hangar, Barham Aviation, Inc. now has a new facility large enough to accommodate more repair and overhaul business.

Thelma Barham, Office Manager

Everyone, please meet Thelma Barham. Thelma is officially known as the Office Manager for Barham Aviation, Inc., and affectionately known as "Mom" to us all (including some of our customers). She has been with us since the doors opened and is a very great asset to the company. She single handedly runs the office and though it's a tough job, she handles it with ease, professionalism, and proficiency. She fights traffic from Arlington to Bridgeport, on a weekly basis, just to make sure the bills are paid, the employees are taken care of and that the office runs smooth. Even with the headaches of running the office and fighting traffic she still shows up every morning eager to greet each and every customer with a smile. Thanks, Mom
